Bishop Josef Bassey
Chairman
Bishop Bassey holds a degree in
Mass communication and a doctorate degree in Divinity. He is a
cutting edge leader, a man of integrity and excellence. He was
at diverse times Newscaster/Marketing executive with Cross River
Broadcasting Corporation before joining Aideas Savings and Loans
Ltd. Where he rose to the position of Assistant General Manager.
He left to work with Point Blank Communications as General
Manager before he set up the African Network Ltd as the MD/CEO.
He retired into full time ministry and is the Presiding Bishop
of God’s Heritage Global Mission. He sits as director on various
Boards in the Country and beyond and is the Nigerian
Representative on the Board of Integrity International. His
experience in the finance industry has contributed to the wealth
development of the Bank.
Dr. Koffi B. Ikpeme
Director
Dr. Ikpeme is a distinguished
medical practitioner. He is a fellow of the Royal college of
Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and a fellow of the Imperial
College of Surgeons. He has been in medical practice for over 30
years and has service awards from Nigerian Medical Association
and the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria. Presently, he is the
Chief Medical Director and Consultant Surgeon at Ikpeme Medical
Centre. In recognition of his worthy contributions in the
community, he has been conferred with many chieftaincy titles.
He sits on the Board of Directors of many professional
organization and companies.
Mr. Peter K. Bello
Director
Mr. Bello holds a degree in
Veterinary Science from the University of Nigeria Nsukka. He
started his career as a Veterinary Officer in the Cross River
State Ministry of Agriculture and withdrew from service in 1982
to concentrate in full scale farming when he established Ajoke
Farms. Presently he is he President of PEKAB International Ltd.
A Civil/electrical Engineering company involved in
infrastructural development and civil construction. He has a
very rich experience in the private sector and has been a
pioneer director of the Bank. He is widely traveled and a one
time president of Calabar Chamber of Commerce, Mines and
Agriculture.
Arc. Francis Oyo-Ita
Director
Mr. Oyo-Ita is an Architect by
training, he has over 20 years working experience in the
banking, design and construction industries, with 6 years spend
in the Banking Industry as an Officer in Mercantile Bank Ltd.
Upon his resignation in 1997, he set up an architectural and
project design company, Urban Signatures with which he has
handled major projects within and outside the State. He is also
an astute businessman/investor who has brought his wealth of
experience to bear in Board matters.
Mrs Thelma Bello
Director
Mrs Bello holds a degree in
Applied Microbiology and started her career as a Technical
Officer in the Cross River State Department of Trade and
Investment rising to the position of Principal Technical Officer
before her retirement in 2000 to manage her own business,
Thelpim Enterprises Ltd a renowned hotel and event management
company. An entrepreneur with over 20 years experience in
managing and growing her own business. She is also a past Board
member, Calabar chambers of Commerce, Mine and Agriculture.
Mr. Nkereuwem Onung B.Sc., MPA, ACIB – Managing Director
Mr. Onung is a graduate of the
University of Calabar and also holds a Masters Degree in Public
Administration of the same University. He is a seasoned
administrator and Banker. He has gained more than 20 years
working experience in Banking and Finance, having worked in
various departments in well structured commercial banks. He is
an accomplished person with a track record of achievement and
excellence. He has attended local and international workshops
and seminars on Microfinance banking.
